- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of toothbrushes. This standard applies to manual adult hair-planted toothbrushes. This standard does not apply to special and functional toothbrushes (such as: toothbrushes with fully injected rubber bristles) and electric toothbrushes.
