Scope
This part of GB/T 12668 specifies the design, development, integration and verification of electrical drive systems (safety-related) [PDS(SR)] from the perspective of functional safety, details the requirements, and gives suggestions. This part applies to other standards related to speed-adjustable electric drive systems in "Adjustable Speed Electric Drive Systems". This section applies only when the functional safety of the PDS(SR) is identified and the PDS(SR) operates in high demand or continuous mode (see 3.10). For low-demand applications, see IEC 61508. This part is a product standard, which expounds the safety-related considerations of PDS(SR) in the IEC 61508 structure system, and introduces the requirements of PDS(SR) as a safety-related subsystem. This part is intended to facilitate the safety features of electrical/electronic/programmable electronic components (E/E/PE) of PDS(SR) to realize the safety function of PDS. Manufacturers and suppliers of PDS (SR) demonstrate the safety features of their equipment to users (control system integrators, complete equipment designers, etc.) by using the normative requirements of this part. By applying the principles of IEC 61508 and its implementation in related fields (eg IEC 61511, IEC 61513, IEC 62061) or ISO 13849, it is helpful to incorporate PDS(SR) into safety-related control systems. All requirements required for PDS(SR) in IEC 61508 are met in accordance with this standard. This section does not address the following requirements: -- application-specific hazard and risk analysis; -- identification of application-specific safety functions; -- initial assignment of safety integrity level (SIL) to those safety functions; -- other than interface configuration Transmission equipment; -- secondary hazards (such as failure during production and manufacturing); -- electrical, thermal and energy safety considerations included in IEC 61800-5-1; -- PDS (SR) production process; --PDS (SR) signal and command validity. This section is only applicable to the
