Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, design, materials, factory inspection and testing, and preparation for shipment of centrifugal pumps (hereinafter referred to as pumps). This standard applies to pumps of single-stage, multi-stage, horizontal or vertical construction (coupling or coaxial) of any type of drive and installation for general use.
