This standard specifies the determination method for A-weighted sound power level and ear noise of portable hand-held forestry and garden machinery powered by internal combustion engines. This standard applies to portable forestry and garden machinery such as chain saws, brush cutters, lawn mowers, pole-type power pruning saws, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers/suction machines.
