Scope: This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation, storage and shelf life of industrial stearic acid. This standard is applicable to the industrial stearic acid (mainly stearic acid and hexadecanoic acid) obtained from animal and vegetable fats and oils after hydrolysis and refining. Industrial stearic acid is widely used in industries such as rubber, plastics, textile printing and dyeing, daily chemicals and precision casting.
