- This standard specifies a method for the determination of dissolved oxygen in water using an electrode that separates the water sample from the electrochemical cell by a gas-permeable membrane. This method is applicable to natural water, sewage and salt water. If it is used to determine salt water such as seawater or harbor water, the salt content should be checked.
