Scope
This standard specifies the method for the determination of thiamine content in food by fluorescence assay. This standard is applicable to the determination of thiamine in various foods, but not applicable to substances with the ability to adsorb thiamine and samples containing substances that affect the fluorescence of pyrantel. The minimum detection limit of this method is 0.05 μg.
