Scope

This standard specifies the basic principles of thermal insulation design, selection of thermal insulation materials, calculation and determination of thermal insulation layer thickness, selection principles of main data for thermal insulation calculation and thermal insulation structure. This standard applies to general thermal equipment and piping. It is not suitable for installations and facilities with special requirements such as ships, nuclear energy, and linings of industrial furnaces and boilers.
