- This standard specifies the determination method for the content of petroleum ether solubles in anionic surfactants. This standard applies to the determination of petroleum ether solubles in liquid, slurry and powder alkylbenzene sulfonates, alkyl sulfonates and alkyl sulfates. Note: Petroleum ether solubles in anionic surfactants generally include non-sulfonated (sulfuric) compounds and non-sulfonated (sulfuric) compounds, as well as products that contain sulfur but do not dissociate in water.
