Scope: This standard specifies two methods A and B for measuring the flex resistance of rubber or plastic coated fabrics. This standard is suitable for use as a "pass/fail" test in production inspection tests and for the determination of crack growth in rubber or plastic coated fabrics subjected to repeated bending and flexing. The flex test can provide useful information on the resistance to crack growth of the coated fabric or the degradation of the physical and mechanical properties of the material caused by more flexing.
