This standard specifies the hygienic requirements and inspection methods for polyethylene terephthalate resin (PET). This standard applies to high-viscosity PET resin obtained by solid-state recondensation of polyethylene terephthalate resin. It can be used to make containers and packaging materials that directly or indirectly contact with food.
