- Scope
- This standard specifies the test method for applying a static tensile load to the sample to determine the tensile strength, tensile breaking stress, tensile yield stress, biased yield stress, and elongation at break. This standard applies to thermoplastics and thermosetting plastics, including filled and fiber-reinforced plastics, and articles made of these plastics. This standard does not apply to foamed plastics and plastic sheets and films with a thickness less than 1mm.
