Scope

This part of GB/T 26831 specifies a local meter reading system for communication or reading between a battery-powered single reading device ("master station") and a single meter or a group of meters (up to 5) ("local bus") physical layer parameters. The "master station" can be directly connected to the instrument temporarily or permanently (i.e. local reading), and can also be connected to the instrument via a fixed line or a small bus (the total length of the cable is up to 50 m, i.e. local remote reading) .
