Scope

This part of GB/T 9364 specifies the definition, general requirements and test requirements of miniature fuses. This section applies to all types of miniature fuse-links (for example: tubular fuse-links, subminiature fuse-links and general-purpose modular fuse-links). These types of miniature fuses are usually intended for the protection of indoor electrical installations, electronic equipment and the components therein. Specific details for each major type are specified in the sections that follow. This standard does not apply to fuses for electrical installations intended to be used under special conditions (for example: corrosive or explosive atmospheres). The purposes of this standard are: a) To establish uniform requirements for miniature fuses in order to protect electrical installations or components of electrical installations in the most suitable manner. b) Specify the performance of fuses to provide guidance to designers of electrical installations and electronic equipment and to ensure that fuses of the same size and characteristics are used for replacement. c) specify the test method. d) Specify the maximum continuous power consumption of the fuse to ensure good compatibility with the specified allowable power consumption when using the fuse holder conforming to this standard (see GB 9364.6).
