Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, batching and sampling, inspection rules and packaging, labeling, transportation and storage of industrial salt. This standard is applicable to salt extracted from seawater (including coastal underground brine), lake salt, or industrial salt made from salt lake brine, rock salt or underground brine.
