This part of ISO 10771 specifies a test method for fatigue rating of the pressure-containing envelopes of components used in hydraulic fluid power systems, as tested under steady internal cyclic pressure loads in accordance with ISO 10771-1. This part of ISO 10771 is only applicable to components whose failure mode is the fatigue of any element in the pressure-containing envelope, and that: — are manufactured from metals; — are operated at temperatures that exclude creep and low-temperature embrittlement; — are only subjected to pressure-induced stresses; — are not subjected to loss of strength due to corrosion or other chemical action; — can include gaskets, seals and other non-metallic components; however, these are not considered part of the pressure-containing envelope being tested (see note 3 of 5.5 of ISO 10771-1:2002). This part of ISO 10771 does not apply to piping as defined in ISO 4413 (i.e. connectors, hose, tubing, pipe). NOTE See ISO 19879, ISO 6803 and ISO 6605 for methods of fatigue testing of tube connectors, hoses and hose assemblies. This part of ISO 10771 establishes a general rating method that can be applied to many hydraulic fluid power components. In addition, EN 14359 has been developed for accumulators.

This part of ISO 6301 specifies which characteristics of compressed-air lubricators are to be included in the supplier’s literature. It also specifies product-marking requirements for lubricators. This part of ISO 6301 applies to compressed-air lubricators constructed from light alloys (e.g. aluminium), zinc die cast alloys, brass, steel and plastic, with a rated pressure of 1 600 kPa (16 bar1)) and a maximum rated temperature of 80 °C.

This part of ISO 6301 specifies tests, procedures and a method of presenting the results concerning the parameters that define the main characteristics to be included in the supplier’s literature of lubricators conforming to ISO 6301-1. This part of ISO 6301 can be applied — to facilitate the comparison of lubricators by standardizing test methods and presentation of test data; — to assist in the proper application of lubricators in compressed-air systems. This International Standard specifies methods for measuring sealing devices having more than one seal in the set. The sets are composed of homogeneous and/or fabric-reinforced fluid power lip sealing rings of various configurations such as V, Y, U and W, with or without adapters. This International Standard also specifies methods for measuring stack height of multiple lip packing sets in order that both supplier and user can determine that the sets are to an acceptable dimensional standard. It is not the intention of this International Standard to specify the dimensions for packing sets or their components, since such dimensions depend on the material being used, on the section and on the type of design.
