This European Standard describes the procedure to determine the rated thermal output (D) and the mean surface temperature (trp) of pre-fabricated ceiling mounted radiant panels. Pre-fabricated ceiling mounted radiant panels exchange heat mainly by radiation. The test methods for determining the thermal output of pre-fabricated ceiling mounted radiant panels, as described in EN 14037-2:2016, give reliable results for comparing different products, but these results understate the output obtained under real operating conditions.

The mechanical cooling devices are intended to be used with insulated transport equipment. They include a drive or a means of force transmission and are provided with all the components necessary for the controlled thermal transport system. The mechanical cooling devices can be powered with independent engine and/or vehicle engine and/or any other source of energy. This standard specifies the testing methodologies.

This European Standard refers to gas filters and combined filters for use as components in unassisted respiratory protective devices. Filters for use against CO are excluded from this standard. Laboratory tests are included for the assessment of compliance with the requirements. Some filters complying with this standard can also be suitable for use with assisted respiratory protective devices and if so they need to be tested be tested and marked according to the appropriate European Standard.

This proposed revision of ASHRAE Standard 18 updates the 2006 edition to provide the rating information that was lost when ARI Standard 1010 was recently withdrawn. This information has been added in Table 2 of this standard. Minor editorial improvements have also been implemented. Standard 18 prescribes a method of testing for the cooling capacity and energy consumption of self-contained mechanically refrigerated drinking-water coolers.

Standard 143 provides procedures for testing indirect evaporative cooling devices under laboratory conditions to obtain rating information. This proposed revision of the standard decreases the difference between the primary dry bulb and secondary temperatures from 25 to 20?F (14 to 11? C) to increase the times when testing can be accomplished with unconditioned air without a loss of testing accuracy. The draft also updates references and makes editorial corrections.

Provides uniform test methods for conducting and reporting thermal performance characteristics of wet mechanical draft, natural draft, wet-dry cooling towers, closed circuit evaporative (wet) coolers, and wet surface air-cooled steam condensers. This Code also provides directions and rules for conducting and reporting plume abatement of wet-dry cooling towers and water consumption of any cooling tower. This Code provides explicit test procedures to yield results of the highest levels of accuracy consistent with the best engineering knowledge and practice currently available. The purpose of this Code is to provide rules for monitoring thermal performance or for conducting acceptance tests on all of the cooling equipment referenced above. It provides rules for monitoring plume abatement and conducting plume-abatement acceptance tests on wet-dry cooling towers.
