Appliances covered by this European Standard include one or a combination of the following: - gas-fired sorption chiller; - gas-fired sorption chiller/heater; - gas-fired sorption heat pump. This European Standard applies to appliances designed to be used for space heating or cooling or refrigeration with or without heat recovery. This European Standard applies to appliances having flue gas systems of type B and C (according to CEN/TR 1749) and to appliances designed for outdoor installations. EN 12309 does not apply to air conditioners, it only applies to appliances having; - integral burners under the control of fully automatic burner control systems; - closed system refrigerant circuits in which the refrigerant does not come into direct contact with the water or air to be cooled or heated; - mechanical means to assist transportation of the combustion air and/or the flue gas. The above appliances can have one or more primary or secondary functions (i.e. heat recovery - see definitions in EN 12309-1:2014). In the case of packaged units (consisting of several parts), this standard applies only to those designed and supplied as a complete package. The appliances having their condenser cooled by air and by the evaporation of external additional water are not covered by EN 12309. Installations used for heating and/or cooling of industrial processes are not within the scope of EN 12309. All the symbols given in this text should be used regardless of the language used. This part of EN 12309 deals particularly with the specific provisions of hybrid heating appliances based on gas-driven sorption heat pumps as defined in Part 1. The heating appliances covered by this European Standard are of a hybrid type, an encased assembly or assemblies combining a direct or indirect-fired sorption heat pump for base load and a peak load condensing boiler with only one flue system, electrical supply cable and human machine interface to the end user. The direct- or indirect-fired sorptio

This part of EN 12309 specifies the test methods for gas-fired sorption appliances for heating and/or cooling with a net heat input not exceeding 70 kW. This part of EN 12309 deals particularly with test protocols and tools to calculate the capacity, the gas utilization efficiency and the electrical power input of the appliance. This data can be used in particular to calculate the seasonal efficiency of the appliance.

This European Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, marking, information supplied by the manufacturer and packaging for guided type fall arresters including a rigid anchor line. This anchor line is usually attached to or integrated in ladders or rungs adequately fixed to suitable structures. Guided type fall arresters including a rigid anchor line conforming to this European Standard are components of one of the fall arrest systems covered by EN 363. This European Standard applies to rigid anchor lines which are intended to be installed vertically and/or with a combination of forward-leaning angle and/or sideways leaning angle between the true vertical and the vertical +15° (see Figure 2). Multi-user applications, i.e. rigid anchor lines that allow more than one user to be attached at any one time, are not addressed in this document.

This European Standard specifies the essential safety requirements for compression moulding machines and transfer moulding machines for the moulding of plastics and/or rubber with a closing movement more than 6 mm. In this document a compression moulding machine or transfer moulding machine as described above is designated by the term "press" (see 3.1). This document deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to presses, when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer (see Clause 4). The safety requirements are specified for the additional hazards arising from:- shuttle/turn tables used for loading/unloading and/or cooling; - magnetic clamping systems. For other ancillary equipment, as defined in 3.7, that is not part of the press, only the requirements for the interaction between presses and ancillary equipment, especially loading and unloading devices are specified. The following machines or units are excluded; - pneumatic presses for plastic and rubber; - injection moulding machines (see EN 201:2009); - tyre curing machines (see prEN 16474); - presses for curing inner tubes and curing bags; - hydraulic presses for the cold working of metals as covered by EN 693:2001+A2:2011; - mechanical presses for the cold working of metals as covered by EN 692:2005+A1:2009; - pneumatic presses for the cold working of metals as covered by EN 13736:2003+A1:2009; - thermoforming machines (see EN 12409:2008+A1:2011); - reaction injection moulding (RIM) machines (see EN 1612-1:1997+A1:2008); - the extruder of the carousel machine(see EN 1114-1:2011). This standard does not cover; - hazards caused by the processing of materials which may lead to a risk of explosion, see 7.2.2; - the requirements of Directive 94/9/CE concerning equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres; - requirements for the design of exhaust ventilation systems, see 5.3.5
