This test method provides statistical (and graphical) information concerning floor surface profiles. Results of this test method are used primarily to: Establish compliance of randomly trafficked floor surfaces with specified FF Flatness and FL Levelness tolerances, Evaluate the effect of different construction methods on resulting floor surface flatness and levelness, and Investigate the curling and deflection of floor surfaces. Results of this test method shall not be used to enforce contract flatness and levelness tolerances on those floor installations primarily intended to support the operation of fixed-path vehicle systems (for example, narrow aisle warehouse floors). Note 28212;When the traffic patterns across a floor are random, (as is generally the case) evaluation of the floor''s FF Flatness and FL Levelness will necessarily involve a random sampling of the surface, since all of the infinite potential profiles to be seen by the traffic can not possibly be measured. In those instances when the traffic across a floor will be confined to specific paths, however, the requirement for random sampling is eliminated, since the floor can indeed be inspected exactly as it will be seen by all of the traffic. In these special cases, rather than inferring the condition of the traffic paths from a random sample, it is far more useful to measure each of the traffic paths directly using continuous recording floor profilometer configured to run exactly in the traffic wheel paths. Such direct simulation measurements eliminate the inherent uncertainties of statistical sampling and provide profile information immediately applicable to the correction of the surface in way of the future traffic.1.1 This test method covers a quantitative method of measuring floor surface profiles to obtain estimates of the floor''s characteristic FF Flatness and FL Levelness Face Floor Profile Numbers (F-Numbers) using the metric (SI) system of units. Note 18212;This is the metric companion to Test Method E 1155. 1.2 The text of this test method references notes and footnotes that provide explanatory material. These notes and footnotes (excluding those in tables and figures) shall not be considered as requirements of this test method. 1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.

1.1 This practice covers the minimum requirements for and the methods of installation of rigid vinyl siding, soffits, and accessories on the exterior wall and soffit areas of buildings. In all applications, refer also to the specific manufacturer''s instructions for installation. 1.2 This practice covers aspects of installation relating to effectiveness and durability in service. 1.3 The various application systems are located in the following sections of this practice: Section 8 Substrate, Surface Preparation Section 9 Application of Horizontal Siding Section 10 Application of Vertical Siding Section 11 Application of Soffits Section 12 Special Details 1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The SI units given in parentheses are for information only. Note 1-There are no ISO standards covering the subject matter of this practice. 1.5 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.

1.1 This practice is a definitive procedure for setting requirements for the serviceability of a building or building-related facility.1.2 This practice is not intended to be used for regulatory purposes.1.3 This practice can be used for setting the profile of serviceability requirements of an occupant group in an existing building or building-related facility or of a group planning to move and looking at new accommodations to rent, buy, or build.1.4 This practice can be used for setting the profile of serviceability requirements of an owner, facility manager, lender, or other investor.1.5 The process of creating or adapting a set of classifications for establishing the levels of serviceability required by an occupant group or organization is outside the scope of the practice.1.6 This practice contains the following information, in the sections indicated:

Describes the content of a brief for building design. Can be used from the time when the client first considers the possible need for a building project. Applies to all kinds and sizes of design project. Can also apply whatever the chosen function or purpose of the brief, for example instructing, promoting discussion, recording, as a basis for evaluation or in a formal competition to select consultants.

Defines test procedures for determining the mechanical performance of precast concrete floors made of a single piece, or made up of precast joists (reinforced concrete or precast concrete) completed with filler blocks and concrete poured in situ. The parameters measured are: the maximum load, which does not result in collapse, the instantaneous and deferred deformations under imposed load, and the maximum load which the floor or its constituent precast element can support without collapse during its construction. Applies to floors designed to support loads of less than 5000 N m and having spans of less than 12 m.
