Dieser Teil der Norm bietet ein sachgerechtes Prufverfahren zur Bewertung der Betriebseigenschaften von grosformatigen Einrichtungen zur Reinigung der Gasphase (GPACD) fur allgemeine Filtration, unabhangig von den im Gerat verwendeten Medien oder angewendeten Verfahren. Mit diesem Teil von ISO 10121 soll vielmehr vermieden werden, die Prufdaten ganzlich auf interne Parameter zu beziehen. Der Nutzen bei dieser Vorgehensweise ist, dass Anwender der GPACD in die Lage versetzt werden, sich auf Verhaltnis von Preis/Leistung zu konzentrieren, und Lieferanten (Anbieter) Zugang zu einer normativen und objektiven Prufnorm bekommen, die keine Freigabe von urheberrechtlich geschutzten Informationen oder Rekonstruktionen des Produkts verlangt. Damit die Sachlichkeit fur Lieferanten von Prufeinrichtungen sichergestellt ist, wird keine bestimmte konstruktive Ausfuhrung der Prufeinrichtung vorgegeben. Stattdessen sind Anforderungen an die Gerateeigenschaften und Validierungsprufung festgelegt. Verschiedene Konstruktionsbeispiele von gegenwartig eingesetzten Geraten werden beschrieben. Dieser Teil der ISO 10121 kann auch bei Verfahrens- techniken angewendet werden, z. B., sofern diese in die Prufeinrichtung hineinpassen, fur Gaswascher, Absorber, nicht saugfahige Bauteile oder Fullkorpersaulen, die sich mit dem Prufverfahren aussagekraftig beurteilen lassen und fur die allgemeine Luftung von Wohn- und Nichtwohngebauden (gewerbliche und Verwaltungsgebaude) vorgesehen sind. Nukleare und militarische Anwendungen sind ausdrucklich aus- geschlossen.

This European Standard specifies and classifies the component/product performance characteristics which may be necessary for the design and dimensioning of residential ventilation systems to provide the predetermined comfort conditions of temperature, air velocity, humidity, hygiene and sound in the occupied zone. It defines those performance characteristics (mandatory or optional) which shall be determined, measured and presented according to relevant test methods. It provides a classification scheme which leads to a full definition of product properties based on test methods described in various EN Standards and gives an overview of the Test Standards. Distinction between mandatory and optional requirement is left to each national regulations. The codification part in Annex A and the classification part in Clause 4 apply to the following products: mechanical supply and exhaust ventilation units for single dwellings according to EN 13141-7; un-ducted mechanical supply and exhaust ventilation units for a single room according to EN 13141-8. This European Standard does not apply to other products such as filters, fire dampers, ducts, control devices and sound attenuators, which may also be incorporated in residential ventilation. This European Standard does not cover requirements raised by European Directives, for example: low voltage directive, EMC directive and other requirements such as corrosion, resistance and snow penetration.

Diese Internationale Norm beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Messung der Leistung von Vorrichtungen fur die allgemeine Luftreinigung in deren endgultigem Einbauzustand. Die Leistungsmessungen umfassen den Abscheidegrad bezogen auf die Partikelgrose und den Stromungswiderstand. Die Prufverfahren umfassen die Definition und die Angabe des Systemluftstroms. Es wird eine Verfahrensweise beschrieben, bei der Partikel der Umgebungsluft mit einer Grose zwischen 0,3 µm und 5,0 µm auf der An- und der Abstromseite der an ihrem Ort befindlichen Luftreiniger in einem ordnungsgemas arbeitenden Luftbehandlungssystem gezahlt werden. Beschrieben wird das Verfahren zur Verringerung der durch den Zahler ermittelten Partikel zum Zwecke der Berechnung des Abscheidegrads bezogen auf die Partikelgrose. Da Filteranlagen sich hinsichtlich Auslegung und Form betrachtlich voneinander unterscheiden, ist ein Protokoll zur Bewertung der Eignung eines Standorts fur die Bewertung des Filters und die Systembewertung enthalten. Sofern die bewerteten Standortbedingungen den fur die Systembewertung festgelegten Mindestkriterien entsprechen, kann die Leistungsbewertung des Systems ebenfalls nach diesem Verfahren vorgenommen werden. Diese Internationale Prufnorm beschreibt auch die Leistungsspezifikationen fur die Prufausrustung und definiert Verfahren fur die Berechnung und Angabe der Ergebnisse. Diese Norm ist nicht dafur vorgesehen, die Leistung tragbarer oder ortsveranderlicher Raumluftreiniger zu messen oder Filteranlagen mit einem bei einer 0,4 µm zu erwartenden Abscheidegrad von mindestens 99 % oder hochstens 30 % zu bewerten.

It also specifies the requirements for insulation and cladding being part of the single wall steel chimney and liner.It provides for the evaluation of conformity of single wall steel chimneys and liners to this European Standard.
