This test code describes tests for determining characteristics of hydraulic positive displacement pumps used on construction and industrial machinery as referenced in SAE J 1116. These characteristics are to be recorded on data sheets similar to the ones shown herein. Two sets of data sheets are to be submitted: one at 49 °C (120 °F) and one at 82 °C (180 °F). This test code establishes conditions for pump tests, outlines a procedure for tests, and establishes a method of presenting pump test data. The procedure covers the following determinations: a) derived capacity; b) delivery characteristics; c) power input; d) power loss; e) overall efficiency; f) pressure compensator response and recovery; and g) flow compensator response and recovery.

ISO 21308 describes general principles for the exchange of data between truck chassis manufacturers and bodywork manufacturers. It applies to commercial vehicles as defined in ISO 3833, having a maximum gross vehicle mass greater than 3 500 kg. The process of exchanging product data can involve - chassis manufacturer, - chassis importer, - chassis dealer, - one or more bodywork manufacturers, and - bodywork component suppliers, e.g. manufacturers of demountable bodies, cranes and loading equipment and tipping equipment. This part of ISO 21308 provides an overview and recommendations to assist the parties implementing BEP codes for their communication process. The recommendations cover different ways of communicating and presenting the BEP codes. This part of ISO 21308 also contains some examples of experience from practical use.

This SAE Standard covers molded rubber boots The parameters measured according to this SAE Recommended practice will generally be used in simulating directional control performance in the linear range. (The "linear range" is the steady-state lateral acceleration below which steering wheel angle can generally be considered to be linearly related to lateral acceleration.) But they may be used for certain other simulations (such as primary ride motions), vehicle and suspension characterization and comparison, suspension development and optimization, and processing of road test data. This document is intended to apply to passenger cars, light trucks, and on-highway recreational and commercial vehicles, both non-articulated and articulated. Measurement techniques are intended to apply to these vehicles, with alterations primarily in the scale of facilities required. but some differences do exist between passenger cars and trucks, especially heavy trucks, such as differences in body/frame flexibility, suspension stiffness, and suspension friction. These will be addressed in this document or SAE J1574-2, where appropriate.

This SAE Recommended Practice establishes methods for describing and measuring the driver's field of view. The document describes three methods for measuring the direct and indirect fields of view and the extent of obstructions within those fields. The first method uses any single pair of eye points to determine the fields or obstructions that would be seen by an individual driver. The second method uses the SAE Eyellipses defined in SAE J 941 to determine the largest fields or obstructions that would be seen for a given percentage of the driving populations. The third method uses specific eye points defined in SAE J 941 to measure the extent of a specific field of view or obstruction for which those points were developed.
