This part of ISO 1726 specifies dimensions to ensure interchangeability between a low coupling height tractor vehicle and a coupled high-volume semi-trailer, the two together constituting a high-volume articulated vehicle. It specifies certain interchangeability dimensions, including those of the optimised gooseneck contour, as well as operating dimensions related to angle values. The specifications are primarily intended to permit semi-trailers to be coupled with two-axle tractors. However, three-axle tractors are not excluded, provided they are in compliance with the requirements of this part of ISO 1726. This part of ISO 1726 does not provide limitations of maximum gross mass and overall dimensions, which are generally laid down by legislative requirements.

This part of ISO 5673 gives the forms and applications of power take-off (PTO) drive shafts for tractors and self-propelled machines used in agriculture, and specifies the dimensions for, and clearance zone around, the implement power-input connection (PIC) for a variety of attachments. Its intent is to ensure proper clearance between the PTO drive line and adjacent components on the implement and tractor when both implement and tractor have compatible power levels. It is not intended as a complete guide for drive-line design and does not, for example, contain information on preventing drive-line vibration or sizing a torque limiting device. It is not applicable to combinations of implements with tractors having high ground clearance, such as those working in standing vegetable crops or sugar cane, nor to agricultural tractors designed for low ground clearance, such as for lawn mowing or ground care, which require a low centre of gravity; neither is it applicable to implements non-symmetrical in design by necessity due to their function.

This part of ISO 730 specifies the dimensions and re-quirements of the three-point linkage for the attach-ment of implements or equipment to the rear of agricultural wheeled tractors. It specifies four categories to be used on different ranges of agricultural tractors as shown in table 1. Category 4 has been divided into two parts, 4L and 4H, depending on the location of the power take-off (PTO). Category 4L and 4H dimensions apply to trac-tors with the PTO, respectively, below and above the rear axle centreline. Dimensions and requirements for the three-point linkage for the attachment of implements or equip- ment to the front of agricultural tractors are given in ISO 8759-2[3].
