This part of EN 13126 provides requirements and test methods for the durability, strength, security and function of rollers for horizontal sliding and inward or outward sliding folding windows and door height windows in accordance with common applications as shown in Annex B, EN 13126-1:2006. This standard is applicable to rollers, irrespective of whether they are adjustable or not, and irrespective of the method or type of fixing or if they are used independently, or in multiples or combinations. NOTE 1 Guide tracks, laterals guides and rails used while testing the rollers for sliding folding windows and door height windows (window types N Q, R and S) are considered to be part of the complete sliding folding hardware set. NOTE 2 The hinges used while testing the rollers for sliding folding windows and door height windows (window types Q, R and S) are considered to be part of the complete sliding folding hardware set. This part of EN 14511 specifies minimum requirements which ensure that air conditioners, heat pumps and liquid chilling packages with electrical driven compressors are fit for the use designated by the manufacturer when used for space heating and/or cooling. This European Standard applies to factory-made units that can be ducted. This standard applies to factory-made liquid chilling packages with integral condensers or for use with remote condensers. This standard applies to factory-made units of either fixed capacity or variable capacity by any means. Packaged units, single split and multisplit systems are covered by this standard. Single duct and double duct units are covered by the standard. In the case of units consisting of several parts, the standard applies only to those designed and supplied as a complete package, except for liquid chilling packages with remote condenser. O This standard is primarily intended for water and brine chilling packages but can be used for cooling any other liquid subject to agreement. This standard applies to air-to-air air conditioners which evaporate the condensate on the condenser side. The units having their condenser cooled by air and by the evaporation of external additional water are not covered by this standard. This standard does not apply to units using transcritical cycles, e.g. with CO2 as refrigerant. Installations used for heating and/or cooling of industrial processes are not within the scope of this standard. NOTE Part load testing of units is dealt with in CEN/TS 14825.

NOTE 1 The sashes of side-hung shutters may have additional projecting shutter-inserts. The hardware for these projecting shutter-inserts is not covered by the scope of this European Standard. NOTE 2 If due to the hardware fixing type or the dead weight of the described test shutter, this can not be used, a corresponding system sash with the same dimensions (800 mm wide × 1 400 mm high) can be tested. This is particularly valid for hardware used exclusively in a complete modular system from a systems manufacturer (consisting of the hardware components, frame profiles and panel units as well as the necessary fixing materials). NOTE 3 Tower bolts and locking-rods should conform to EN 12051. NOTE 4 Fixings used to attach hardware to shutters are not covered by this European Standard. To allow a choice of items from a single source, so-called "product group" of elements may be nominated by the manufacturer. This European Standard specifies the requirements for the corrosion resistence of building hardware for doors,windows, shutters and curtain walling. This European Standard provides a method of classification of corrosion resistance of building hardware based on performance in a neutral salt spray test(EN ISO 9227). This European Standard specifies the requirements for both coated and uncoated surfaces and five grades of corrosion resistance being laid down in accordance with the different conditions of use grades 1 to 5.A grade 0 is also included for which no requirements have been specified.Requirements for levels of corrosion resistance which are higher than those laid down for grade 5 have been included in this European Standard and are subject to agreement where required. This European Standard also applies to the metal fasteners required for fixing building hardware if specified. Screws and fastenings which are sold with a hardware product which conforms to this European Standard should also conform to this European Standard. NOTE 1 The term "grade"used in this European Standard corresponds to the term "class"which is used in ISO standards. NOTE 2 There is seldom a direct relationship between resistance to the action of salt spray and resistance to corrosion in other media,because several factors influencing the progress of corrosion, such as the fomation of as a direct guide to corrosion resistance of the testen materials in all environments where these materials may be used.Also, the performance of different materials during the test should not be taken as a direct guide to the corrosion resistance of these materials inservice. The method described in this European Standard gives a means of checking that the comparative quality of a material, with or without corrosion protection,is maintained. In addition,for quality control purposes,comparison can be made between specimens coated with the same coating.As comparative tests,however,salt spray tests are only suitable if the coatings are sufficiently similar in nature. It is often not possible to use results gained from salt spray testing as a comparative guide to the long-term behaviour of different coating systems as the corrosion stress during these tests differs significantly from the corrosion stresseds encountered in practice.
