Denne standard specificerer borstørrelser til anvendelse før gevindskæring og -formning af parallelt møtrikgevind med normal indskruningslængde. Bordiameteren ved skåret ge-vind er ca. lig med den nominelle diameter minus stigningen. Bordiameter ved formet gevind er ca. lig den nominelle diame-ter minus den halve stigning. Borstørrelser er anført for følgende gevind: 1) ISO metrisk gevind (grov og fin stigning): Tabel 1 og 2. 2) ISO inch gevind (UNC og UNF): Tabel 3 og 4. 3) ISO rørgevind: Tabel 5, 6 og 7. 4) Panserrørgevind: Tabel 8. Standarden specificerer metriske bordiametre, som med und-tagelse af 4 størrelser er udvalgt af ISO 235, og dimensioner-ne skal fremover anses som anbefalede dimensioner til dette formål.

This International Standard describes methods of specifying and testing the following performance characteristics of manipulating industrial robots: — unidirectional pose accuracy and pose repeat-ability; — multi-directional pose accuracy variation; — distance accuracy and distance repeatability; — pose stabilization time; — pose overshoot; — drift of pose characteristics; — path accuracy and path repeatability; — cornering deviations; — path velocity characteristics; — minimum positioning time; — static compliance. This International Standard does not specify which of the above performance characteristics are to be chosen for testing a particular robot. The tests de-scribed in this International Standard are primarily intended for developing and verifying individual ro-bot specifications, but can also be used for such purposes as prototype testing, type testing or ac-ceptance testing. This International Standard applies to all manipulating industrial robots as defined in ISO/TR 8373. However, for the purpose of this International Stan- dard the term "robot" means manipulating industrial robot.

This part of ISO 9409 defines the main dimensions, designation and marking for the circular mechanical interface (form A). It is intended to ensure the exchangeability and orientation of hand-mounted end effectors. This part of ISO 9409 does not define other requirements of the end effector coupling device. ISO 9409-1 does not contain any correlation of load-carrying ranges. The mechanical interface specified in this part of ISO 9409 will also find applications in simple handling systems which are not covered by the definition of manipulating industrial robots, e.g. pick and place or master-slave units.
