This standard specifies the rules required for the design and execution of loadbearing components made of reinforced masonry in which the reinforcement is taken into consideration in the structural analysis. The reinforcement may be laid horizontally in course joints or purpose-made blocks or vertically in suitable purpose-made blocks or in recessed enclosed by masonry.
