B30.27 applies to the construction, installation, operation, inspection, and maintenance of trailer and truck mounted material placement systems. Included in this are mechanical and hydraulic pea gravel systems, mobile telescoping boom conveyors, separate placing booms, and material placement accessories. This edition incorporates the requirements of CPMA 27-2000. This Volume does not apply to conveyor parts of mobile telescoping boom conveyors, mortar conveying or spraying machines, or dry mix shotcreting machines. The conveyor section of these machines is covered by ASME B20.1.

This British Standard gives recommendations and guidance on the procedural controls to be applied to all aspects of temporary works in the construction industry. It also includes guidance on design, specification, construction, use and dismantling of falsework. This standard gives guidance on permissible stress design of falsework. This guidance is also applicable to the design of what is termed class A falsework1) in BS EN 12812:2004, the design of which is specifically excluded from BS EN 12812:2004. Section 2 gives recommendations for the procedures required to ensure that temporary works are conceived, designed, specified, constructed, used and dismantled all in a safe and controlled manner. Section 3 covers the design of temporary works and in particular the design of falsework and relevant formwork. In addition Section 3 covers: materials including material factors; loads and load factors; design of falsework, including both proprietary equipment and traditional scaffolding solutions; wind loading (reference to temporary and permanent stability) and reference to other British Standards for the design of structural steelwork, reinforced concrete and excavation support. The structural design element in this standard is additional information necessary for the structural design of falsework. It can be used in conjunction with existing structural standards.

This European Standard specifies performance requirements and limit state design methods for two design classes of falsework. It sets out the rules that have to be taken into account to produce a safe falsework structure. It also provides information for falsework which is required to support a "permanent structure", or where the design or supply of falsework has to be commissioned. This European Standard also gives information on foundations. This European Standard does not specify requirements for formwork, although formwork may be a part of the falsework construction. Nor does it provide information on access and working scaffolds, which is given in EN 12811-1. This European Standard does not provide information about site activities. It does not provide information about the use of some standardized products, including timber formwork beams conforming to EN 13377 and props conforming to EN 1065.

This Standard establishes safety requirements forpowered platforms (scaffolds) for buildings where windowcleaning and related services are accomplished bymeans of suspended equipment at heights in excess of35 ft (11 m) above a safe surface (e.g., grade, street, floor,or roof level). Additionally, this Standard establishessafety requirements for permanent traveling ladders andgantries (TLG).It pertains to either permanently installed or transportableequipment meeting the requirements of thisStandard.Powered platforms and TLGs may be used or operated by one or more persons engaged in services such asnormal building maintenance. The equipment may alsobe used for tasks such as caulking, metal polishing,reglazing, or other building repairs.This Standard does not apply to other suspendedpowered platforms used for remedial renovations ormodifications to buildings. The safe use of these scaffoldsis included in ANSI A10.8-2001, SafetyRequirements for Scaffolding.This Standard does not relate to any service performed by persons supported by equipment covered by any of the ANSI A92 standards.

This document specifies the nominal dimensions for surface profile features and patterns for the surfaces of pedestrian paving units, used to convey information for visually impaired people. It applies to paving units made of concrete, clay and stone. This document does not specify requirements for visibility (colour, luminance contrast or profile) except where this visibility is provided by the tactile paving surface indicator.
