This European Standard defines the single module receptacle used in the family of rectangular electrical connectors. The plug corresponding to this receptacle is defined in EN 4165-024. Accessories and protective cover corresponding to those plugs are defined in EN 4165-026. The cavity of this connector is uncoded, so it can accept polarized modules N, A, B, C and D as defined in EN 4165-002.

This European Standard defines the requirements for hexavalent chromium free anodizing of aluminium and aluminium alloys for corrosion protection, bonding and painting. Hard anodizing is not covered by this European Standard. The purpose of this European Standard is to give design, quality and manufacturing requirements. It does not give complete in-house process instructions; these shall be given in the manufacturers detailed process instructions.

The ECSS standards of the Q branch describe a set of requirements for a Product Assurance programme to be implemented throughout the phases of a space project. This document defines the Product assurance management requirements for space projects. This document is structured in two main parts, the first part presenting the principles of Product Assurance management and the second providing the detailed requirements. In addition, the expected content of the Product Assurance plan is specified in Annex A. Information on the expected delivery of ECSS PA management discipline documents per review is provided in Annex C. This Standard is applicable to all space projects. This standard may be tailored for the specific characteristic and constrains of a space project in conformance with ECSS-S-ST-00.

This European Standard specifies the required characteristics and the tests for lubricating nipples of the axial type, in corrosion resisting steel, passivated. Annex A (normative) states the clearance space requirements for the coupling and uncoupling of the lubricating gun and the maximum permissible diameter of the lubricating gun barrel, together with installation thread requirements. Lubricating nipples according to this European Standard are intended for use in aerospace assemblies, where regular lubrication of moving parts is required.

1.1 This specification covers premium quality alloy steel semifinished rolled or forged blooms and billets for reforging into critical parts such as aircraft landing-gear forgings. 1.2 Blooms and billets, hereinafter referred to as blooms, are semifinished steel products, hot rolled or forged to approximate cross-sectional dimensions. Blooms may be square, round, hexagonal, octagonal, or rectangular in section. For the purposes of this specification, minimum bloom section size will be 16 in.2 [103 cm2]. 1.3 This specification covers two basic classifications of steel: 1.3.1 Class I—Vacuum-induction melted or consumable-electrode vacuum melted, or other suitable processes which will satisfy the quality requirements of this specification. 1.3.2 Class II—Air-melted vacuum degassed. 1.3.3 Class III—Air melted electric furnace ladle refined and vacuum degassed. 1.4 The values stated in either inch-pound or SI (metric) units are to be regarded separately as standards. Within the text and tables, the SI units are shown in brackets. The values stated in each system are not exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in nonconformance with the specification. 1.5 Unless the order specifies the applicable “M” specification the material shall be furnished to the inch-pound units. 1.6 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.

This European Standard specifies the characteristics of steel, cadmium plated hexagonal nuts, with an upper portion slotted or castellated normal height, normal across flats. These nuts are intended for use in aircraft assemblies subjected principally to shear loading. They are intended to be used with threaded parts of 1100 MPa tensile strength classification and split pins to EN 2367. The cadmium plating restricts the application to temperatures not exceeding 235 °C.
