清华学者团队荣获国际质谱权威期刊2019年度RCM贝农奖

  2020年1月7日,国际质谱技术领域权威期刊Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry公布了2019年度 RCM贝农奖(RCM Beynon Prize),以表彰过去两年内该期刊所报道的最具创新和影响力的优秀论文。我院王晓浩/唐飞/倪凯团队凭借论文《矩形离子阱循环辅助AC频率扫描实现快速质谱分析》(Rapid mass spectrometry analysis of a rectilinear ion trap by continuous secular frequency scanning)获此殊荣。该奖项每年评选一篇年度最佳论文,这也是该奖项自2004年设立以来首次由中国团队获得。

  王晓浩团队长期从事质谱仪器小型化与分析方法的研究。质谱小型化将极大促进化学分析走进人们日常生活,在现场原位检测领域具有重要应用前景。传统的质谱仪普遍采用RF幅值扫描的模式,射频系统体积庞大。该论文构建了一台基于离子振动频率扫描(secular frequency scanning)的二级真空离子阱质谱仪。通过固定高压射频信号,扫描低压辅助AC信号频率即可实现质谱分析。该模式对射频电源要求低,并可以扩大质量分析范围,利于质谱仪的小型化。

  在此基础上,论文还提出了基于持续辅助AC频率扫描的离子阱质谱分析方法(continuous secular frequency scanning),突破了传统射频幅值扫描离子阱所需的采样、冷却、扫描、清空等阶段性时序工作模式,通过固定射频信号与前Z极板电压以保持离子进样状态的同时,循环扫描辅助AC频率,可实现一边进样一边扫描的离子阱快速质谱分析,进而提高质谱仪的分析效率与通量,在现场快速质谱监测等领域有良好应用前景。

  该论文第一作者为我院2014级博士生霍新明,共同完成作者还包括:陈进、姚彤彤、唐飞、朴世运、倪凯、王晓浩。

  About the RCM Beynon Award

  In 2004, to mark the 80th birthday of John Beynon, the founding Editor of Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry (RCM), the publishers (John Wiley and Sons, Ltd.) established an annual award named the 'RCM Beynon Prize'. This award, consisting of a monetary award of $1000 (US) plus a certificate for each contributing author, is awarded by an ad hoc Sub-committee of the Editorial Board of RCM, based on the following criterion. The prize will be awarded annually to the corresponding author(s) of the paper, published in RCM over the previous two calendar years that, in the opinion of the Awards Sub-committee, describes an innovative advance in mass spectrometric instrumentation or methodology that has had the greatest immediate impact in its particular sub-discipline over the previous two calendar years (i.e., published in the previous two volumes of RCM).
