"Introduction This amendment specifies the WirelessMAN-Advanced Air Interface@ an enhanced air interface designated as ""IMT-Advanced"" by the International Telecommunication Union??Radiocommunication Sector (ITUR). The amendment is based on the WirelessMAN-OFDMA specification and provides continuing support for legacy subscriber stations. As of the publication date@ the current applicable version of IEEE Std 802.16 is IEEE Std 802.16-2009@ as amended by IEEE 802.16jTM-2009@ IEEE 802.16hTM-2010@ and IEEE 802.16m-2011."
