"INTRODUCTION California Air Toxics ""Hotspots"" Information and Assessment Act (AB-2588) required California refineries to submit air-toxic emission inventory reports to their respective air pollution control agencies for the year 1989. This report presents an analysis of data from 11 of those refineries. Data from one of the refineries were given a thorough analysis covering the fugitive emissions from process units@ storage tanks@ and wastewater treatment@ plus point-source emissions from emergency flares@ process heaters and boilers@ and co-generation plants. Data from the other 10 refineries were analyzed for fugitive BTX and 1@3-B emissions from process units@ storage tanks (excluding marine and marketing tanks) and wastewater."
