Application: Primarily for parts which are machined after solution and precipitation heat treatment. Suitable for parts@ such as pressure vessels and other structures@ requiring high strength-to-weight ratios at@ or near@ room temperature. Certain processing procedures and service conditions may cause this material to be subject to stress-corrosion cracking@ ARP 982 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
