This standard covers the design@ construction@ and location of LP-gas installations (except frozen earth pits and underground storage caverns or wells) at marine and pipeline terminals@ natural gas processing plants@ refineries@ and tank farms@ which may be associated with one or more of the following: railroad@ truck@ or marine loading or unloading racks or docks. Part I (Par. 1through 10) of this standard applies to no refrigerated LP-gas storage; also to refrigerated storage (including auto refrigeration) except as modified and amplified in Part II (Par. R-4 through R-8 and Par. R-11). This standard does not apply to LP-gas installations as covered by NFPA Pamphlets No.581* and No.59@2 nor to those installations utilizing DOT (Department of Transpiration) containers; nor does it apply to chemical plants@ gas utilities companies@ processing equipment@ or transfer systems (from process equipment) preceding finished LP-gas storage *REFERENCES on p.22
