Up to now there has been no international document giving guidance with regard to the safety of personnel working with SF6. To give such guidance is the aim of this report.It is impossible to incorporate all the existing instructions relating to SF6 in this report@ which considers mainly safety aspects and gives basic information and guidelines for working with SF6 used in switchgear and controlgear during normal and abnormal service conditions.These recommendations should be considered as the minimum necessary to ensure the safety of personnel who work with SF6.This report is concerned with switchgear and controlgear filled with industrially pure SF6 gas.
