Broadband Integrated Services Digital Network (B-ISDN); Signalling ATM Adaptation Layer (SAAL) Service Specific Co-Ordination Function (SSCF) for Support of Signalling at the Network Node Interface (NNI) Part 1: Specification of SSCF at NNI (ITU-T Recomme
This European Telecommunication Standard (ETS) specifies the Service Specific Co-ordination Function (SSCF) for support of signaling at the Network Node Interface (NNI) for the pan-European Broadband Integrated Services Digital Network (B-ISDN) as provided by European public telecommunications operators. The SSCF at NNI is a function which is part of the Signalling ATM Adaption Layer (SAAL) at the NNI of the B-ISDN. This function is used to map the service of the Service Specific Connection Oriented Protocol (SSCOP) of the AAL to the needs of layer 3 protocols for signalling across the NNI. This ETS covers the aspects of the SSCF of the complete AAL structure for singalling applications at the NNI defined in ITU-T Recommendation Q.2100[1]@ and describes the relationship to the protocol entity for network singalling specified in ETS 300 008 [3] and the SSCOP specified in ETS 300 436-1 [4]. This ETS is applicable to equipment to be attached at either side of the B-ISDN NNI when B-ISDN singalling is to be supported.
