INTRODUCTION ESDUpac A9138 is a FORTRAN 77 program for determining the minimum lubricant film thickness in concentrated point contacts that occur@ for example@ in rolling element bearings and gears. The program implements the calculation method of Data Item 89045 which must be referred to for the theoretical limitations of the method and for discussion of practical considerations. The calculation method of Data Item 85027 is also used for some contacts (see Section 5).
