The present document describes the protocol to be used on the Multimedia Resource Function Controller (MRFC) ?C Multimedia Resource Function Processor (MRFP) interface (Mp interface). The IMS architecture is described in 3GPP TS 23.228 [1]@ the functional requirements are described in 3G TS 23.333 [25] This specification defines a profile of the Gateway Control Protocol (H.248.1)@ for controlling Multimedia Resource Function Processor supporting in-band user interaction@ conferencing and transcoding for multimedia-services. The present document is valid for a 3rd generation PLMN (UMTS) complying with Release 7 and later.
