This Standard also covers auxiliary equipment and accessories which by themselves may not perform the desired function of the equipment outlined in 1.2 but are used in addition to or as a supplement to the basic equipment (remote controls@ convertors@ stands@ etc.). These requirements cover equipment rated 600 volts or less for use in accordance with the National Electrical Code@ ANSI/NFPA 70.
