The method described in this standard is designed for the determination of the atmospheric deposition of the following PAH compounds: ? benzo[a]anthracene (BaA) ? benzo[b]fluoranthene (BbF) ? benzo[j]fluoranthene (BjF) ? benzo[k]fluoranthene (BkF) ? benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) ? dibenzo[a@h]anthracene (DBahA) ? indeno[1@2@3-cd]pyrene (INP) Samples are collected by means of a funneladsorber collector and analysed using the HPLC/FLD or GC/MS technique. The method has been validated for the determination of mass depositions ranging from approx. 10 ng/(m2??d) to approx. 400 ng/(m2??d). The equivalence to the reference method described in DIN EN 15980 (funnelbottle bulk collector) has been demonstrated for a 4-week sampling period.
