Work specified??This Specification sets the minimum requirements for testing of ready mixed concrete at the project site when specific field tests and specimens prepared for laboratory tests properties including strength are used as a basis for acceptance of concrete as delivered to the site. It includes requirements for making and curing test specimens@ performing field and laboratory tests@ and qualifying personnel and laboratories performing these tests. Work not specified This Specification does not apply to testing requirements and responsibilities required of the Construction Contractor. ACI 301 identifies the testing responsibilities required of the Construction Contractor. This Specification does not apply to other duties@ such as inspection@ monitoring of concrete production@ mixing@ and construction; or conformity to project specifications and drawings. ACI 311.7 addresses these responsibilities of the inspector. The person testing the concrete in 1.1.1 is not required to be trained or qualified to perform duties other than those specified in 2.3 (tests). Test Reports??The Testing Agency shall provide the testing services and reports of tests as required by the Project Specifications.
