An appliance designed so that it can be mounted and supported at an outlet box@ such as a food warmer@ is judged on the basis of compliance with the requirements in this Standard and with the mounting and weight requirements for electric lighting fixtures.An appliance that utilizes heat produced by a means other than electrical (for example@ coal@ gas@ or oil) is also investigated with respect to the additional risk of fire.
