This standard is applicable to equipment wires with solid or stranded conductor@ polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulated@ in singles@ pairs and triples. ObjectThe object of this standard is to specify requirements for wires used :?- on one hand@ for the internal wiring of telecommunication equipment@ object of Section Two;?- on the other hand@ for the internal wiring of industrial and consumer electronic equipment@ object of Section Three.GeneralThis standard shall be used in conjunction with IEC Publication 189-1.It is the responsibility of the manufacturer to establish quality assurance by quality control procedures which will ensure t h a t the product will meet the requirements of this standard. It is not intended t h a t a complete testing programme shalt be carried out on every length of conductor. When the purchaser wishes to specify acceptance tests or other quality procedures@ it is essential that agreement be reached between the purchaser and the manufacturer by the time of ordering.
