The present document specifies the Test Suite Structure and Test Purposes (TSSTP) of the Communication HOLD service@ based on stage one and two of the ISDN HOLD supplementary services. A further part of the present document specifies the Abstract Test Suite (ATS) and partial Protocol Implementation eXtra Information for Testing (PIXIT) proforma based on the present document. Within the TISPAN NGN Release 1 Next Generation Network (NGN) the stage 3 description is specified using the IP Multimedia Call Control Protocol based on Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and Session Description Protocol (SDP).
