This Outline applies to mechanical protection tubing (MPT) with a rigid metallic reinforcement@ nonmetallic and metallic fittings and clamps for use as support and protection of insulated conductors in equipment intended for use in non-hazardous locations. Tubing specified by this Outline is intended for use with fittings or clamps in compliance with Clauses 4.4 and 4.5@ respectively. The fittings may be for wet or dry locations. This Outline does not include tubing used to supply power from the fixed wiring of structures to utilization equipment.
