ESDU 83043 gives equations for the bending moment@ radial shear force@ circumferential direct force@ shear flow@ and the radial@ tangential and angular displacements at any cross-section of the flexible frame. The frame may be loaded by any system of concentrated loads and couples at a point and@ by superposition of the results@ combined loading on the frame can be treated and distributed loading can be simulated. The results are provided at 5 degree angles around the frame in tables@ each table applying to one value of the ratio of frame to shell stiffness. An example shows how the tables are used to find the forces and deflections in a practical case. ESDU 83043 complements the graphical data given in ESDU Struct 03.06.00 to ESDU Struct 03.06.17.
