These requirements cover the construction and performance of turbine type water flowmeters for fire protection service of Type I@ Type II or Type III construction. The following items are outside the scope of these requirements: a) Materials and construction of the register; b) Evaluation of the by-pass components@ including the by-pass meter if provided@ except for body leakage and strength of body; c) Potability and; d) Stationary static gaskets@ such as cover gaskets and ring gaskets used between flanges.
