"FOREWORD: The standardization program of the American Petroleum Institute relative to oil field equipinent at present emhraces ten main classes of materials. Where necessary and desirable for convenient ase@ each class has been subdivided into subjects. Separate specifications have been issued on each subject. A special committee has been appointed on the standardization of each class of material: and the committee personnel is published separately. Each specification is identified by the committee number@ with alphabetical sub-divisions when needed. This bulletin lists all specifications available to date. When a specification is amended or revised@ it will be re-iasued under its old number@ with a new date and edition number; for example@ ""API Std 5A@ 2nd Edition@ Sept.@ 1926@"" will indicate that this specification has been revised from the first edition. In some cases a supplement containing the changes and modifications is issued. These supplements are later incorporated in a revised edition of the specification. A list (and status) of all API standardization bulletins and recommended practices is also contained herein. Remit by post-office money order or by check. All payments must be made in U. S. Currency.
