Application These products have been used typically for parts which are machined after being solution heat treated and aged@ and are suitable for parts requiring high strength-to-weight ratios at or near room temperature@ but usage is not limited to such applications. Certain processing procedures and service conditions may cause these products to become subject to stresscorrosion cracking; ARP982 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
