This Recommendation provides guidelines on the use of satellite networks in the event of natural disasters and similar emergencies. This Recommendation provides information about the overall system and terminal design which is suitable for disaster relief telecommunication. This Recommendation responds to the requirements of the Tampere Convention (2005).
