Introduction Manufacturers of mobile stations aremaking provisions to incorporate. the authentication key without the benefit of a uniform approach for entry@ revision and display. There is concern that different manufacturer implementations may foreclose vanous carrier approaches to handling the authentication key@ and limit the security of the authentication key in these different approaches. This TSB recommends a uniform approach for entry@ revision and display of the A-key@ while providing the maximum flexibility for carriers.
