Scope and Purpose This specification defines a Physical Layer for Smart Utility Networks@ particularly in the extension on Field Area Networks. It is derived from the IEEE 802.15.4-2015TM SUN PHYs (see [IEEE802.15.4-2015])@ with modifications for improved interoperability and consistency.
